SEO Tools In-depth Review

SEO Tools

1) HubSpot [Score 7.8/10]

Hubspot is a vast platform, but it is not meant for doing SEO as it is. It is an important inbound marketing software platform that helps companies attract visitors, convert leads, and close customers. The SEO part of HubSpot is basic, and though it does provide any info for a marketer, it is not even 10% of what is required to get a website or webpage to rank.

If you are a marketer or a Salesperson and getting top search engine rankings is not your job, you will appreciate HubSpot's marketing, lead generating and nurturing power. But if you want to run SEO campaigns, you should better look for specific SEO tools like SEO PowerSuite.

2) Moz (ex-SEOMoz) [Score 8.8/10]

As an education entrance for SEO, Moz is a great one. You see an active and experienced community and lots of stuff for studying. Being a software toolkit, though, Moz is less useful. It is far too limited and lacks focus. You end up jumping from one tool to different to view all the data you may find. It force be more instructive in keyword research, rank tracking and link analytics. It is not cheap, and pretty limited in terms of how many keywords or websites you can track, how many links you can find or what Search Engines you can target.

3) SEMrush [Score 9.3/10]

SEMrush is among the most valuable software tools for keyword research. It is also a huge collection of SEO tools and it offers some educational dashboards for analyzing a site's current state. SEMrush is being actively developed, but so far, it is not as educational as SEO PowerSuite in other SEO niches, ex. backlink research and rank tracking.

SEMrush is greatly priced than other SaaS-model tools like Moz, HubSpot or Raven, although SEO PowerSuite is still a less costly solution with support of unlimited sites and keywords and more search engines.

4) Ahrefs [Score 13/37]

Ahrefs was performed for finding links in the first turn, and this is the stuff it is very good at. It had then been improved to offer other features, still, backlink search is still its go-to functionality. It has a particular interface and more convenient UX than Majestic. Though when you need not just a big list of links, but a good knowledge of where they can take you, SEO SpyGlass (the tool from SEO PowerSuite) is the winner. For a tiny fraction of Ahrefs’ price, SEO SpyGlass will find a site’s backlinks and then offer core deep link analysis and link administration features you won't find anywhere else.

5) Majestic [Score 13/37]

Majestic is a comprehensive tool for finding backlinks that point (or pointed) to any website. It has quite a big index (231+ billion URLs in fresh index vs 613+ billion pages in SEO PowerSuite) and it is more reasonably priced than Ahrefs (although it’s still much more expensive than SEO PowerSuite). However, it is only focused on finding links, and not on managing their relevancy and quality. Usually what you would do is, get links in Majestic, then still analyze them with SEO SpyGlass (part of SEO PowerSuite toolkit). You can just as well use SEO SpyGlass for both, getting links and analyzing them.
Though can try SEO SpyGlass right now at no cost. Download the SEO PowerSuite toolkit, and gain SEO SpyGlass and other great SEO tools on your computer.

6) Screaming Frog [Score 7.8/10]

Screaming Frog is a flexible and durable tool that is chosen specifically for crawling and finding on-page issues. It has a few useful combinations, like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Majestic, Moz, and Ahrefs. It is honestly priced and has a free version. However, it is not becoming for search engine optimization. In case you need something extra than just a technical audit, you will have to use one extra tool or choose the tool that can do both technical and SEO audits.
